Amateur Radio Technician Class


The S.C.A.R.S. Club is offering a class for those that would like to get their feet wet in the field of amateur radio. We are going to start with the first stage of licensing, that is the Technician Class. You will be introduce to the Commission’s Rule, Operating Procedures, Radio Wave Propagation, Amateur Radio Practices, Electrical Principles, Circuit Components, Practical Circuits, Signals and Emissions, and then Antennas and Feed Lines. From time to time you will be tested on what you have learned. This course is about 20 hrs. We’ll be meeting once a week for about 2 hrs night. AT THE VISTA BUILDING IN KELLOGG,ID

The dates of this class are: September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. Then on into October 7, 14, 21, 28. Then the test will be given on the November 4th. Each class will begin at 7pm and go to 9pm.

The cost for the class is $30 buck and that includes study materials.

The testing fee is $15.00 that goes to ARRL and that can be a check or cash.
